Přehled
Novinářka Judith Wilkesová je v Malajsii svědkem prohlubující se rasové nesnášenlivosti vůči Vietenamcům. Zbídačelí uprchlíci sem přijíždějí na člunech a jsou krutě ubíjeni domorodci. Judith se seznamuje se ženou australského velvyslance, jež běženců, pomáhá. Ta ztratila při evakuaci z Vietnamu kontakt se svými dětmi a nyní po nich pátrá. Judith poznává, jaké obětavosti je schopná mateřská láska.
