Descrizione
La reporter Judith Wilkes lascia il marito e i due figli a Sydney e si reca in Malesia per documentare la storia dei boat people vietnamiti. Si lega sentimentalmente a Kanan e stringe amicizia con Lady Minou Hobday, che veglia regolarmente a "Turtle Beach", dove i rifugiati cercano di sbarcare segretamente nella speranza che un giorno arrivino anche i suoi figli. Accompagnando Minou una notte, Judith assiste a un brutale massacro perpetrato dai malesi, che la spinge a denunciare gli orrori dei campi di internamento di Bidong.
