Este interessante exemplar do cinema que se faz na Finlandia retrata o fim da Guerra civil Finlandesa, em 1918. A trajetoria de uma comandante de pelotao feminino da Guarda Vermelha, e de um militar do lado "Branco" que acredita em justica e dignidade mesmo estando numa guerra civil.
Estes 2 destinos se cruzam no cenario de fome, violencia, orfaos de guerra, abuso, poesia e desejos reprimidos.
Baseado no romance homonimo da escritora Leena Lander.

Mais um exemplo de como o cinema pode ser veiculador da cultura dos povos. Neste caso, um filme belo e sensivel da obscura historia do povo finlandes apresentando o embate de 2 forcas: Os social-democratas chamados de "Vermelhos" e os que apoiam o Senado, os "Brancos".
O filme, que recebeu o titulo em ingles de "Tears of April", ganhou premio de Melhor fotografia no festival nacional da Finlandia e de melhor ator no Festival Internacional de Marrakech.
