Αυτό το κωμικό θρίλερ επιστημονικής φαντασίας συνεχίζεται ακριβώς μετά το τέλος της πρώτης ταινίας, με την καταστροφή του μουσείου. Όταν ένα κομμένο χέρι σκοτώνει τον αλκοολικό πατριό της Σάρα, τότε η ίδια βρίσκεται άδικα κατηγορουμένη για τον φόνο. Ψάχνοντας στοιχεία για να αποδείξει την αθωότητα της στο σπίτι του Σερ Γουίνφρεντ, βρίσκει με τον Μαρκ ένα "κλειδί/πυξίδα" που μπορεί να ξεκλειδώνει τις "πύλες του σύμπαντος" σε άλλες παράλληλες διαστάσεις, και χρονικές τοποθεσίες! Ο Μαρκ, που είναι πλέον ένας Πολεμιστής του Χρόνου πρέπει να αντιμετωπίσει τον Λόρδο Σκαραβαίο, την πιο πονηρή και μανιακή δαιμονική οντότητα όλων των εποχών.
